Role Overview

We are seeking a Finance and Administration Officer to join our dynamic team. This position is a 6-month part-time contract, with an initial 2-month probation period based on performance and mutual agreement for continuation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting project budgeting, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations. This role will also support the Grant Writer and project teams in financial reporting, documentation, and compliance with donor requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets and expenditure reports.
  • Support the grant writing and program teams with financial data and justifications for proposals.
  • Process payments, manage petty cash, and handle staff reimbursements.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and donor financial policies.
  • Manage procurement, logistics, and general administrative duties.
  • Maintain an efficient filing and record-keeping system.
  • Support HR and administrative processes, including staff attendance and inventory management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience (NGO experience is an advantage).
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accountability.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
